Visitors experience a really special thrill as they follow the tree-lined drive that leads to the Poggio farmhouse and admire the panoramic view of an amphitheatre of 150 hectares of vines with, to the right, the ancient Castello del Poggio and the most famous peaks in the Alps in the background. An ever-increasing number of curious tourists are deciding to explore the world of vines and wines, taking magical walks along the tops of the hills and enjoying the spectacular scenery. Then there are the sporty types, too, who go trekking in spring and summer between the rows of vineyards that look like vast, well ordered and cared-for gardens.

Castello del Poggio offers guided tours of the vineyards and winery. The estate is the largest vine-growing property in Piedmont. It invites its visitors to discover and explore this area of the Monferrato, which is less well-known but no less romantic and fascinating than other zones that are famous for their great wines.

The Castello del Poggio estate belongs to the Astesana Wine Roads association.
